Frequently Asked Questions

What is ALINA?
ALINA invisible braces are invisible, removable, modern braces. Your ALINA is custom designed for your smile, meant to help guide your teeth into their perfect position. Similar to metal braces, ALINA uses a gradual force to control tooth movement, using invisible trays, instead of metal wires or brackets but in a more accurate way. A smile designer uses the latest in technology combined with artificial intelligence to design a smile that compliments your facial features. ALINA doesn’t just straighten teeth, ALINA makes you beautiful.
Each invisible braces set moves the teeth in tiny increments until the desired outcome is achieved. Because ALINA can move teeth as accurately as 50 microns, the results and the whole journey are predicted with high precision. It involves less chair time and monitoring can be done virtually.
ALINA invisible braces are worn for at least 22 hours a day to reach the desired maximum effectiveness.
Each tray is worn for three weeks before changing to the next one. The length of treatment with ALINA depends upon the severity of each case.
Typically, ALINA treatment can be as short as 6 months or as long as twelve months. Overall, ALINA offers a much shorter treatment than traditional braces.

Each ALINA custom tray is made of FDA approved materials backed by decades of research. We use elastomeric polymer encased between two layers of thin polyurethane shells for each ALINA.

The thin, rigid shells grip the teeth evenly and firmly, while the elastomeric layer applies gentle yet consistent, continual pressure to move teeth reliably and predictably over the prescribed period. The dual rigid shells also provide protection from grinding.

ALINA can correct different types of issues including open bite, crowding, crossbite, diastemas and many more. Talk to one of our ALINA certified partner dentists to know more about your specific case.

IPR Stands for “Inter Proximal Reduction.” This is defined as polishing the space in between your teeth.

With this one step, an extra few millimeters of room is created, allowing your teeth to move comfortably, and exactly according to your custom-made plan.

Although it might sound intimidating, IPR is completely safe, painless, and unnoticeable after your invisible braces set is complete. It’s also important to remember that not everyone who will have an ALINA treatment will have to undergo IPR. This is on a case-to-case basis.

Attachments are precisely designed shapes, temporarily attached to your teeth.

Attachments exert extra force, in an extremely specific direction, bringing your teeth into their perfect position, and speeding up your ALINA treatment.

Our initial consults are done virtually via video call and there’s no need to visit our ALINA partnered dentist on-site for the very first assessment.

But should you need to, we have ALINA partnered dentists all over Metro Manila that we can connect you with for further assessment.
